It is set to get much warmer in Wales over the Easter weekend, but for now, it seems that April showers are here to stay. The Met Office forecast for Wednesday (April 12) in Wales suggests there will be "sunshine and showers," and it will sometimes be misty around coastal areas.
The forecast from the Met Office for Wednesday says: "A drizzly start for some, but brightening up for most. Scattered thundery showers developing by the afternoon with warm sunny spells inbetween. Remaining cool, grey and misty on some coasts. Maximum temperature 18°C."
The outlook for Thursday to Saturday says: "Often cloudy with mist and fog, especially during the mornings and locally lingering in coastal regions. The BBC forecast says that temperatures for Wednesday are set to reach a high of 16°C, and predicts "light cloud and a moderate breeze" for the day. According to the forecast, it's set to get warmer across the week, with temperatures reaching 19°C on Easter Sunday.
For Cardiff, the Met Office has forecast a high of 16°C for Wednesday, reaching this temperature at around 3pm. The forecast for the city suggests the day will start off cloudy, changing to sunny intervals by lunchtime. Swansea has been forecast a high of 14°C for Wednesday, with a cloudy start changing to sunny intervals in the afternoon. For Wrexham, the Met Office forecasts highs of 16°C, with sunny intervals set to take over cloudy conditions by the early evening.
BBC Wales weatherman Derek Brockway said 'warm sunshine' should be coming to Wales for Easter weekend. He tweeted: "Update to #Easter weekend. Some warm sunshine. 20°C in places but not completely dry! Some showery rain spreading from the west during Sunday."
