Met Office weather forecast for Wales promises temperatures of 15C this weekend before wind, rain and even frost returns

Enjoy it while you can - blue skies and sunshine are forecast for Wales this weekend.

But it won't be around for long, with rain and wind on its way in time for next week.

In some parts of Wales temperatures will reach a balmy 15 degrees on the last weekend of the month, without a drop of rain in sight.

That's before a new weather front hits the UK on Tuesday - bringing thunder and rain along with some frosty starts.

So get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air!

This is what the weather will be like in your area, according to the Met Office.

Cardiff

The forecast for Cardiff on Saturday (Met Office)

This is when you can sit on Game of Thrones’ Iron Throne in Wales  

Sunny spells are forecast over the capital on Friday - hitting 13C by 5pm as work kicks out.

On Saturday a few clouds will appear in the morning only to be replaced by clear, sunny skies from midday.

By 3pm it will reach 12C with sunny intervals for the rest of the day.

Sunday will be a little cooler, with intervals of sun and cloud as the day goes on.

Merthyr Tydfil

It will reach 13C in Merthyr on Friday afternoon after a full day of sun.

On Saturday, the sunshine will continue as the mercury hits 12C, interrupted only by a few clouds at midday.

A mixture of clouds and sunny spells are forecast on Sunday. The best part of the day will be between 10am and 1pm.

Swansea

Swansea on Saturday (Met Office)

Swansea is also in for some sunshine tomorrow although temperatures won't get above 10C.

Saturday will see sunshine and clear skies all morning before cloud descends from 3pm onwards.

On Sunday a few rays will make their way through in sunny intervals between 10am and 4pm. Temperatures will reach 12C by late afternoon.

Carmarthen

Temperatures will reach 11C on Friday afternoon as the sunshine continues.

However, Saturday is looking cloudy all day - although temperatures will stay above 10C.

On Sunday the sun will make a re-appearance from 10am onwards.

Pembroke

West Wales will be cloudy over the weekend (Met Office)

In West Wales the sun will be shining from 12pm onwards on Friday afternoon.

But, like Carmarthen, cloudy skies will persist through most of Saturday.

Sunday will also be the best day of the weekend, with sunshine and temperatures of 11C all day.

Aberystwyth

There will be sunny intervals and cloud in Aberystwyth on Friday afternoon, following by mist from 7pm.

This will be followed by a full day of cloud on Saturday, with temperatures falling to 9C.

Sunshine is forecast from 10am until 1pm on Sunday, with the mercury peaking at 11C.

Welshpool

Mid Wales will reach 13C on Friday (Met Office)

Powys will be one of the hottest parts of Wales on Friday, with a full day of sunshine. Temperatures will reach a maximum of 13C.

On Saturday, however, the clouds will return, with overcast skies all day.

Sunday will remain equally cloudy except for a sunny spell between 10am and 1pm.

Wrexham

Wrexham is forecast to be the hottest part of Wales on Friday as it reaches 15C.

But while there will be sunny intervals on Saturday morning, clouds will dominate the skies for the rest of the day.

On Sunday temperatures will drop to 9C as the cloudy weather continues.

Rhyl

North Wales on Friday afternoon (Met Office)

It will be slightly colder in Rhyl on Friday as temperatures stay at 11C.

Both Saturday and Sunday will be cloudy all day, with a maximum temperatures of 10C.

Beaumaris

Beaumaris is the only place in Wales that won't be sunny on Friday.

Instead, there will be cloudy skies on both Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

On Sunday there will be a sunny interval between 10am and 1pm and again at 7pm. But temperatures will stay at 10C.
