South Wales especially is feeling the heat with parts of north Wales feeling a bit cooler. However all parts of Wales are going to be seeing temperatures rise well into the 20s over the next few days.

Using the Met Office advice we have put together a guide to how long you can expect the warm weather to stick around so you can plan those summer walks and barbecues.

According to a Met Office spokesman it will be a day of two halves today. The north of Wales will be starting cooler with temperatures around the mid teens due to cloud cover.

The rest of July

The good news for the sun worshippers is that the warm weather will then be back for about three weeks.

"There will be more fine and warm weather from the middle of next weekend," said the Met Office spokesman.

"Part of this is down to the fact it is summer but there is also high pressure never far away during July so it won't be until August we see a significant change from the dry warm weather."
