Met Office weather forecast for the week ahead in Greater Manchester and the UK

Dry conditions and sunny spells are forecast this week as we move into September, according to the Met Office.

The coming days are set to remain warm and dry with bright spells predicted in the north west.

In Greater Manchester, conditions will be cloudy but dry on Bank Holiday Monday with temperatures feeling warm in the sunshine.

Tuesday is set to be another cloudy day with a few light showers possible in the morning, though by the afternoon brighter spells are predicted.

Temperatures will reach around 20C in the region.

Later in the week, conditions are expected to remain cloudy but bright with the odd sunny spell.

Forecasters predict Saturday will be the sunniest day in Greater Manchester, with bright spells throughout the afternoon.

For the rest of the UK, cloudy conditions are expected on Tuesday with some drizzly showers predicted in central and eastern parts.

Towards the end of the week, conditions will be generally dry but cloudy and cool.

Some warm, sunny spells are forecast in places with the best of these across central and Western Scotland.
