Met Office weather forecast for Sunday and Monday

The Met Office weather forecast for England and Wales on Sunday on Monday shows a changing picture, with Sunday largely dry and sunny but rain to come on Monday.

The last week has seen temperatures drop across the UK, with snow having fallen in some parts of the country. Saturday was wet and wintry but Sunday is set to be a much more pleasant day through there will be rain in patches, especially in parts of Wales.

What is the forecast for Wales and England on Sunday?

The Met Office says there will be early showers in the west, gradually becoming confined to parts of northern England later. Otherwise sunny spells in the south and east. Rain into far southwest England later. Wind easing. The temperature will range from 8°C in western parts of Wales to 5°C in England.

What is the forecast for Monday and Tuesday?

Following a mainly dry and bright Sunday it looks like we're heading for a bit of an unsettled week. Outbreaks of rain are set to spread east on Monday with the far southeast expected to remain mostly dry. On Tuesday the weather is set to brighten from the northwest with further showers expected far northwest.

Cloud and outbreaks of rain spread southeast early in the week, brighter in the north on Tuesday. Increasingly settled from midweek with overnight frost and morning fog patches.
