Met Office weather forecast for Leeds on Wednesday, June 8, as mostly dry day expected

It will be a mostly dry day in Leeds on Wednesday with temperatures expected to reach the 19°C mark.

The Met Office is predicting heavy rain will fall throughout the night in Yorkshire, but the downpours should clear by around 7am across the county. The forecaster is predicting Huddersfield, Bradford, Sheffield, York and Leeds will stay mainly dry for the rest of the day, but some lighter showers could return.

In its wider forecast for Yorkshire & the Humber, the Met Office says: "Rain soon clearing northeast followed by sunny spells and showers, heavy and slow-moving with a chance of thunder and hail. Showers slowly dying out in the evening. Maximum temperature 21 °C."

In Leeds, it is expected to remain mostly dry on Wednesday. Heavy overnight downpours will clear by 9am and will be replaced by clouds and warmer temperatures. There is a slight chance of further rain falling at 11am but no more showers are forecast for the city for the rest of the day.

Temperatures could reach 19C by 3pm and it will remain warm into the evening. The sun will rise at 4.37am and will set again at 9.34pm.
