Met Office weather forecast for Leeds as temperatures could reach 18C

Leeds is in for a warm but cloudy day today (Thurs) as the Easter bank holiday weekend draws ever closer.

Temperatures will reach 18C in many parts of Yorkshire with the Met Office predicting a "dry but rather cloudy start" to the day. But the forecaster predicts: "Early mist and low cloud will clear and give way to some sunny spells in the afternoon."

No rain is forecast for Leeds, or any part of Yorkshire, on Thursday, according to the Met Office.

Looking further ahead, Friday will remain largely dry with periods of patchy cloud. The odd shower is possible as we move into the weekend but it will still feel warm, especially in the afternoon.

It could reach 18C in Leeds today, but it will remain cloudy throughout. The hottest part of the day is expected at 4pm and it will remain relatively warm throughout the evening. The sun will rise at 6.09am and will set again at 8.05pm.
