The Met Office has issued a warning of wintry showers that could bring snow and ice to parts of Wales.
The cold snap will come after at the end of a stormy weekend of weather warnings when Storm Bella hits the country.
The forecasting service has issued a yellow snow and ice warning for Sunday night into Monday morning.
The areas covered in Wales are:
- Conwy
- Denbighshire
- Flintshire
- Gwynedd
- Wrexham
The warning is in place from 6pm on Sunday (December 27) until 10am on Monday (December 28) and it states: "A band of rain, sleet and snow followed by wintry showers will move south across Scotland and Northern Ireland on Sunday evening and into parts of northern England and north Wales early on Monday morning.
"Localised accumulations of 1-3 cm are possible to lower levels but higher accumulations are likely over higher ground.
"Above 250 metres, accumulations of 5-10 cm are possible.
"Whilst skies are expected to clear from the north overnight, icy patches are likely to develop and persist through to Monday morning."
The unsettled weather follows relatively calm and cold conditions across the UK on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
An amber warning has been issued for parts of Wales on Saturday as Storm Bella is forecast to bring severe gales and heavy rain.
Winds of up to 70mph are expected in exposed coastal locations of the UK and further downpours are also due, with the Met Office adding 15-25mm is likely to fall in Wales, and up to 40-60mm over some hills.
The Met Office's Wales forecast for Monday to Wednesday says: "Cold with wintry showers possible throughout.
"Showers on Monday bring a risk of hail and thunder, particularly around coasts.
"Lighter winds, and risks of ice and freezing fog Tuesday and Wednesday."

The long range forecast up to Friday, January 8, is for "generally unsettled conditions" to continue with spells of rain, sleet and snow likely across many areas of the UK.
Any snow though is likely to be over higher ground, but temperatures are likely to remain low.
