Met Office says Wales can expect another three days of warm weather

Wales has been lucky with the weather during lockdown even though we haven't been able to enjoy it as much as we usually would.

None the less, it looks like the sun is set to stay with more sunshine and high temperatures being predicted.

According to the Met Office, temperatures could reach up to 26°C in Wales today (Saturday) with lots of sunshine expected across the region.

Forecasters say it will feel very warm away from coastal fringes where sea freezes will keep temperatures slightly cooler.

Sunday is also expected to be quite a scorcher with clear skies, but some patchy cloud is expected to form through the afternoon.

Highs of 25°C are also predicted.

A spokesman for the Met Office said: "The good weather will stay for quite a few days more.

"There will be a little bit of cloud around this afternoon (Saturday), and a little bit more tomorrow but on the whole it's looking good.

"It's going to be quite hot - temperatures are likely to get up to 25°C and 26°C today (Saturday) and tomorrow."

It's also good news for the start of the week as Monday and Tuesday will continue to be dry and bright.

It's not until Wednesday that things are thought to become a bit more unsettled in Wales.

The spokesman added: "There will be a change as we go through the week.

"Monday will be a bit cooler with temperatures of 24°C and 25°C, and there's likely to be a bit of cloud around at times.

"There is a similar story on Tuesday and on Wednesday we are likely to see a change for Wales.

"Wednesday is when there is a risk of some showers and a drop in temperature.

"Temperatures will be lower than they have been this weekend. There could be a 10°C drop by next weekend."
