Met Office reveals when temperatures will peak this weekend

  • The warmest day is forecast for Monday, featuring widespread sunshine across the UK.
  • From Tuesday, the remnants of Hurricane Erin will bring unsettled weather, including heavy rain, blustery conditions, and a return to average temperatures.
  • Large waves are expected on western coasts, and the RNLI has advised beachgoers to visit lifeguarded areas and be vigilant due to increased risks of rip currents and strong tides.
  • The RNLI emphasised the importance of water safety, particularly with the forecast for unusually big surf building towards the end of the bank holiday weekend and into next week.
