Met Office predicts exactly when snow could hit Nottingham in the coming hours

Snow and rain has been forecast in Nottingham on Friday morning (December 3).

According to the Met Office temperatures will drop to around 2C at around 4pm on Thursday, December 2.

These chilling temperatures will then last until the early hours of Friday morning.

Snow, rain and sleet is, as a result, forecast between 2am and 4am, with mist rolling in between 10am and 11am.

The winter showers will cover roughly 50% of the Nottingham area, but there are no weather warnings in place at this time.

Temperatures are then set to rise to a slightly more warming 7C by 12noon on Friday.

It follows extreme Arctic weather which came amid Storm Arwen recently, when Nottinghamshire was blanketed in a generous offering of snow.

Strong wind and snow showers hit the county on Saturday, November 27.

The cold weather is here to stay as the winter months approach, according to the Met Office.
