Sunshine across the UK could be set to last another few days, amid cautious hopes Brits will bask in warm temperatures as the month comes to a close.
Meteorologists are predicting highs of 23C today, with sunny spells to continue into tomorrow.
In the longer term, experts are cautiously optimistic that there could be some late summer sun - although forecasters have stopped short of predicting a heatwave.
Sunshine is set to continue continue into the week, with much of the country to enjoy similar temperatures for five days from today until at least Thursday.
The Met Office predicts that today will feel warm across central and eastern England, although there will be patchy rain across Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and northern England.
Tomorrow it will be mostly dry, although there some cloud is expected.
Between Tuesday and Thursday forecasters say the UK will feel warm, with temperatures near normal, although there will be heavy rain in some high points in the North West.

MeteoGroup, which provides forecasts for the BBC, said: "Heading into September, the forecast confidence remains pretty low.
"We think low pressure will return, but the timing is proving tricky to pin down and we may see prolonged dry weather to start out the autumn."
The UK will be some way off the searing temperatures that are hitting southern Europe at the moment.
A Met forecaster said: “The bigger picture shows this intense heatwave across southern parts of Europe.
"Record breaking temperatures are possible this weekend across Spain and Portugal. Meanwhile across the UK it is a lot more changeable and cooler.

"This run of north westerly winds continuing this week and some wet weather fronts bring showers or rain at times but settled conditions possible later in the week.”
Looking ahead it is likely to stay dry with warmer weather but nothing exceptional for the time of year.
"Next week mostly dry conditions with some sunshine around on Monday," the Met Office said.
"There will be some showers at times through Tuesday and Wednesday but overall quite a cool feel for August with that run of north westerly winds continuing."
The forecast added: "Through late August there is an increased chance of warmer than average conditions. This may bring the risk of thundery showers and longer spells of rain at times."
