The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms in north-west Wales.
The weather warning is in place from 2am to 9am this morning (Thursday, June 30). The Met Office is predicting slow-moving heavy showers and thunderstorms, which are likely to cause some disruption.
Parts of north-west Wales expected to be hit by storms include: Harlech, Barmouth, Tywyn and Pwllheli. There are no other weather warnings currently in place for the remainder of the week.

Poor driving conditions can be expected due to spray on the road, while there is always risk of lightning. There could also be delays to train services and a short-term loss of power and other services. Buildings could be in danger from lightning strikes, while homes could be at risk from flooding.
There could also be spells of heavy rain pushing north up through Scotland through the early hours. For most of the country, though, it’s going to be a day of sunshine and showers.
