The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for much of western Wales, as strong winds are set to hit the country.
The warning, which comes into effect at 2pm on Wednesday and runs through until 3am on Thursday, covers the western half of Wales from Bangor to Swansea.
According to the Met Office: "Strong southeasterly winds are expected to develop during Wednesday afternoon across parts of southwest England and west Wales before spreading to Northern Ireland and parts of southwest Scotland later.
"Winds will tend to ease from the south during Wednesday evening."
During the strongest periods, inland areas will experience wind gusts between 45 and 55mph.
Meanwhile, coastal regions and areas of high ground will be impacted by gusts as high as 60 to 70 mph.
"Most areas will also see a spell of heavy rain," the warning states.
Coastal residents should prepare for large waves, especially in south and southeast facing communities.
Elsewhere within the warning, delays to road, air, rail and ferry travel are likely.
Short term loss of power and other service are also possible.
