Met Office issues 17-hour warning for rain in South West

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for rain in the South West.

The warning extends from 2pm tomorrow (Sun, June 27, 2021) and runs until 7am on Monday.

Areas of persistent and sometimes heavy rain may lead to localised flooding and travel disruption

What to expect

The Met Office advises that people can expect spray and flooding which could lead to difficult driving conditions and perhaps some road closures.

Where flooding occurs, there may be delays or cancellations to train and bus services.

There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.

There is also a small chance of fast-flowing or deep floodwater in some areas.
