Met Office issues weather warning for Bristol as heavy rain is forecast

Bristol will face three days of heavy rain starting this afternoon, according to the Met Office, which has issued a yellow weather warning for the city.

Homes and businesses could be flooded while delays on train and bus routes are possible, say the forecasters.

The yellow warning came into place at 2pm today (Wednesday), and will last until Friday at midday.

The warning covers much of the South West for the three days.

Although the Met Office is not certain when or where the heavy rain will hit, it states the impact could be significant, and the warning could be accelerated to amber as certainty increases over the situation.

There is a second weather warning for rain covering the entire weekend, this currently covers much of the South West, but does not cover Bristol.
