The Met Office has issued a warning to drivers as Liverpool is set to be battered by torrential rain.
A mixture of unsettled weather is forecast for the region this weekend, with light showers turning to heavy rain on Sunday.
Forecasters are warning the heavy rain could lead to spray and flooding, which may lead to some difficult driving conditions.

Drivers are being advised to follow these three rules when driving in the wet weather this weekend.
The Met Office said: "Use dipped headlights if visibility is seriously reduced.
"Increase your gap to at least four seconds from the moving traffic in front.
"Gusts of wind can unsettle vehicles - grip your steering wheel firmly with both hands."
It's set to be a cloudy start to the day on Saturday before changing to light rain by lunchtime, while high humidity is forecast throughout the day.
Torrential rain is forecast to hit Merseyside by 9am on Sunday and continue into the early hours of Monday.
A number of flood warnings have been issued by the Environment Agency for other parts of the country but they don't currently cover Merseyside.
The Met Office forecast for the North West on Saturday said: "Rain spreading south through the day, becoming persistent and heavy in places. Remaining windy with continued coastal gales. Milder than late, though feeling chilly if exposed to the wind. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
"Remaining unsettled with further outbreaks of rain and showers over the coming days. Generally breezy with strong coastal gusts at times. Rather mild to begin but trending towards average later."
