Wales is set for yet another cold spell this week with snow and ice forecast for some parts of the country.
A yellow weather warning is in place snow and ice affecting the east of the country overnight, with the frosty weather continuing throughout the week.
The yellow weather warning is in place from 9pm tonight, Saturday February 6, to 10am on Sunday, February 7.
The areas affected include Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Denbighshire, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmoutshire, Newport, Powys, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Torfaen and Wrexham.
This will be the third consecutive weekend that snow has been forecast for Wales, with several areas already being treated to snowfall this month.
The rest of the week will also be a chilly one as temperatures are set to fall further and struggle to get above freezing as a Beast from the East heads to the UK next week.
The Met Office has said a frozen blast from Russia will hit the UK from the middle of next week, with the potential for heavy snow and plummeting temperatures across large parts of the UK.
Forecasters said high pressure will start to build to the north of Europe over the weekend.
It will start to feel colder from Sunday and next week will begin with colder, potentially snowy weather but by midweek temperatures could drop further.
A Met Office spokesman said high pressure is expected to remain over Scandinavia throughout the week.
He said: "This setup is similar to the Beast from the East from 2018.
"We have high confidence that the high pressure system will develop, and it will turn colder than normal. The coldest days will tend to be around midweek as the air from Russia finally arrives in force.
"The upcoming spell of weather, whilst disruptive for some, is not expected to be as extremely cold as early March 2018, although there will still be a bitter wind chill.
"Many places in the east and north of the UK will see at least some snow, with parts of Scotland looking worst affected through Friday and Saturday."
In Wales, temperatures will remain very low throughout the week with some areas expected to receive a light dusting of snow.

According to the Met Office, from Sunday, heavy rain experienced earlier in the weekend will move Southwards through the evening increasingly turning to snow before easing later, leaving an ice risk in places.
Despite the cold chill, plenty of sunny spells are expected across the region this week. A few snow showers are possible in the North but the whole country will remain very cold, with a "marked wind chill".
