Met Office issue yellow weather warning for more snow in West Lothian and warn of travel disruption

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for more snow in West Lothian.

The yellow warning starts at 6:00pm on Wednesday and ends at 2:00pm on Thursday.

It says it will affect a large swathe of the country, across south west Scotland and the Lothian Borders regions.

Residents are advised to be aware of snow arriving from the north later on in Wednesday and moving south through Thursday morning.

This is expected to cause travel disruptions.

Some roads and railway lines will be affected and commuters are told to expect longer travelling times.

The Met Office also say that some higher routes may briefly become impassable on Thursday morning.

The Met say that under a yellow warning people should expect icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths and are warn that injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces are likely.
