The Met Office have issued a "danger to life" yellow weather warning with days of rain set to hit Liverpool next week.
The weather organisation have issued a 48 hour weather warning for rain and are warning that flooding and power cuts are possible.
Coming into effect at 6pm on Monday the warning lasts until Wednesday at 6pm, with torrential rain forecast for our region.
The warning doesn't cover all of our region, but parts of Wirral and North Merseyside are covered by the warning.
The warning said: "Heavy rainfall combined with some snowmelt across the hills may lead to some flooding of roads and properties.
"Homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.
"Fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing a danger to life.
"Delays or cancellations to train and bus services are possible.
"Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
"Some communities may be cut off by flooded roads.
"Possible power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses."

Monday is set to be a fairly dry day across Liverpool but rain moves in overnight with Tuesday set to see torrential rain for the majority of the day.
The Met Office forecast for the North West said: "Monday will see sunny spells in the morning, turning cloudier later on. In the evening, there will be the odd outbreak of rain for in places, with any rain clearing overnight.
"Tuesday will be windy and cloudy. Bursts of blustery rain or heavy showers are likely at times. with strong south-westerlies.
"Wednesday will continue cloudy, with some rain possible in the afternoon."
