Met Office hourly weather forecast for Bristol as city set for Indian summer sunshine
Bristol could be set for a glorious day of Indian summer sunshine this weekend, with temperatures set to climb towards 20C in the city.
With October now well underway, a recent spell of rain and colder temperatures led many to believe summer was well and truly over for the year.
However, the sunny weather may have a few kicks left in it, with Sunday (October 10) set to be a glorious day of sun for Bristol.
The mercury is set to climb into the high teens throughout Sunday, predicted to peak at around 18C in the city, with warm sunshine expected throughout the day.
A 10 percent chance of rain is expected in the early hours of the morning, according to the hourly forecast for Bristol, but after that there is less than five per cent chance of any downpours across Sunday.
The national five-day forecast from the Met Office says that most areas of the UK will be "dry with sunny spells" on Sunday, with the local forecast for the South West indicating remaining cloud and light rain will be gone by the time Sunday morning arrives.
The predictions for Sunday in our region then call for "much sunnier conditions" throughout the day, with temperatures "above average" to give people a last chance to bask in some late summer sun.
The bright and sunny weather is also set to continue into the working week, although there is thicker cloud and "patchy rani" supposedly on the way by Tuesday.
The Met Office five-day forecast for the South West
Early mist and fog on Saturday gradually clearing to leave a mainly dry day with warm bright or sunny spells. However, thicker cloud will affect the west of Cornwall, giving the occasional patch of light rain. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
There will be some brightness to end the day in the east. However, it will generally turn cloudy this evening with hill fog and some spots of rain developing overnight. Minimum temperature 12 °C.
Cloud and patchy light rain will clear south-eastwards on Sunday morning, with much sunnier conditions following during the afternoon. Temperatures remaining a little above average. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Dry on Monday with bright or sunny spells. Thicker cloud giving patchy rain in the east on Tuesday. Otherwise staying dry with morning fog clearing to leave some sunshine. Cooler.
