It will feel cold with temperatures not reaching more than 6°C.

A Met Office spokesperson said: "Wednesday is still an unsettled day. Strong winds with gales continuing to be likely across South Wales and South-West England with around 65 mph wind gusts around exposed coasts.

"And a lot of showers coming in around that low, especially for the North-East and into the West and South-West. Falling of snow again over the higher parts of northern UK and feeling cold in that wind with the showers rattling through."
