The winter still shows no sign of loosening its grip on the region, with flurries of snow and strong winds hitting Merseyside.
While not on the scale of last week's storms, which caused havoc across Merseyside, the wintry showers and brisk winds made it feel bitterly cold.
The snow flurries were light and never settled on the ground, and were mainly concentrated in the city centre.

Thursday night is set to see more gale force winds with gusts of 49mph predicted.
The cooler temperatures are forecast to persist into the weekend, with a widespread frost expected on Saturday morning.
It will also turn windier through the weekend with some rain possible heading into Sunday.
So far the Merseyside region has just escaped yellow weather warnings for snow and ice which are covering much of the rest of the north of the UK.
The Met Office forecast for the North West said: "Thursday will see a cold start to the day with sunny spells and scattered showers. Some of these will be wintry allowing for slight snow accumulations over the hills. Brisk winds will make it feel bitterly cold. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
"Showers will fade into the evening while clear spells will develop and winds will ease. A cold night with a local air frost. Minimum temperature 0 °C.
"Friday will be a fine and dry day with plenty of sunny intervals. Feeling cold but more pleasant than Thursday with lighter winds. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
"A cold start Saturday with a widespread frost. Turning windier through the weekend with some rain possible heading into Sunday. Cloudier, with more persistent rain for a time on Monday."
