Temperatures in Wales have risen nearly threefold this week to a balmy 15C compared to -8C last week. But with a few days of blustery conditions expected to sweep across Wales and the UK, temperatures are set to plummet back to around zero by the weekend, the Met Office has said.
While Tuesday (April 5) felt "pleasantly warm" in the sunshine, Wednesday will be unsettled with some hail showers and coastal gales by the end of the day. Wednesday will start unsettled with showers - some heavy with hail - spreading throughout the day, according to the Met Office.
There will be some sunny spells in the afternoon but it will remain windy, especially on the coast. It will be the windiest on the north coast of Pembrokeshire and the Ceredigion coastline. Temperatures will struggle to reach 14°C and another cold snap could be here by the weekend.

The BBC forecast says that Wednesday will be a "more unsettled day" compared to Tuesday, with a mix of blustery showers and spells of sunshine. The "gusty winds" will make it a cooler day. By Thursday morning, it will be dry and bright with extensive sunshine but a band of showers will move in from the north in the early afternoon, these falling wintry on the higher ground. Friday will be mostly dry with long sunny spells, but a few showers are set to develop in the mid-to-late afternoon, some of these wintry too. Saturday may be a largely dry day with plenty of sunshine.
The Met Office outlook for Thursday to Sunday says: "A rather windy and cold day on Thursday with some wintry showers that may accumulate over Snowdonia. Drier and bright on Friday and Saturday with overnight frosts."
And looking further ahead to the Easter holidays, it says the week from April 10 will start generally dry and clear but will become cloudier and milder with rain spreading in from the southwest through the first few days of the period. However, temperatures are expected to be "generally remaining above average" and from mid-April, more settled conditions are expected with longer spells of dry and fine weather.
