Met Office forecasts another warm weekend for Wales ahead of temperature dip

It may be the shortest weekend of the year due to the clocks going forward on Sunday but in Wales it will also be one of the sunniest so far. Highs of 19°C are forecast for some areas on Saturday as the dry settled weather and blue skies that most of the country has enjoyed this week continues.

However, while it may be hotter than Spain in some parts of Wales this week, it may not stay that way for long with temperatures set to dip as we enter next week. Cloudy conditions, mist, and showers are also forecast for some areas.

The Met Office forecast for Saturday, March 26, until Tuesday March 29, reads: "Any patchy fog readily clears on Saturday morning leaving a fine and dry day with largely sunny skies and small amounts of fair weather cloud. Feeling very warm once again. Maximum temperature 19°C.

"Another fine dry day on Sunday with sunny spells. Cooler and cloudier on Monday with a few showers possible. Cloudy on Tuesday with an ongoing chance of showers." You can get more weather and other story updates by subscribing to our newsletters here.

According to the Met Office Saturday will be dry with plenty of warm sunshine for most parts after a chilly start. Low cloud will affect the far north of Scotland and perhaps may also affect some North Sea coasts towards evening.

Areas of low cloud and patchy fog will retreat to coasts on Sunday and it will be less warm across England and Wales. A few showers will develop on Monday before turning colder from the north.
