Bristol could see highs of 32°C in the next coming days as the heatwave continues to engulf the UK. The Met Office has warned of a potential danger to life due to the rare extreme heat heading our way over the weekend.
Some parts of the UK are bracing themselves for highs of 38°C - hotter than the Sahara Dessert - and approaching record-breaking levels for the country. The highest temperature ever recorded in the UK was 38.7C on July 25, 2019, in Cambridge Botanic Garden.
The Met Office announced a yellow weather warning as temperatures are expected to soar even further over the weekend. It has since extended its warning into next week as the mercury is expected to rise above 30°C in Bristol and other parts of the South West.
