Met Office forecast predicts exactly when more thunderstorms will hit region

Thunderstorms are on their way to the region, according to the Met Office.

The forecasting service predicts that Bristol will see three hours of thunder tomorrow (Wednesday, July 28), starting at 10am and continuing until 1pm.

It will then continue raining in the city until 6pm, according to the forecasting service.

Bristol is also being forecast to get some rain today (July 27) between 2pm and 9pm, together with some light rain in the late morning.

However, Thursday (July 29) will be a sunny day while Bristol could have some light showers again on Friday (July 30).

Looking at other parts of the region, it is a similar picture for Gloucester - where the thunder will last a couple of hours tomorrow morning (July 28).

It will then continue raining all day until 7pm.

Gloucester is also forecast to get some light rain today between noon and 9pm.

However, Thursday will also be a sunny day in Gloucester while light showers are being predicted throughout the day on Friday.

In Somerset, Taunton isn't forecast to see any thunderstorms, but instead the town could see some heavy showers this morning and then some light rain this afternoon between 3pm and 6pm (July 27).

Light rain will start falling on the town at 7am tomorrow (July 28) and will continue for 12 hours until 7pm.

Thursday will be a drier day, with only a bit light rain being forecast in the morning, while the town could see rain most of the day on Friday.

A yellow warning for thunderstorm has also been issued by the Met Office covering large parts of Wales, the north of England and the Midlands.

The warning - which may lead to flooding and transport disruption - is in place until 6am tomorrow.
