Met Office forecast more rain for Liverpool but when will it stop?

Rain battered Merseyside yesterday, causing major delays and disruption thanks to localised flooding.

The torrential rain eased as we headed into the evening, but there is more on the way, according to the Met Office.

It seems that today (Wednesday, September 25) there will be some respite before autumn really sets in as temperatures hit around 17°C and breaks in the cloud bring some sunshine across the region.

But it won't last, as forecasters predict rain for the rest of the week and through the weekend.

There is some good news however, as the weather will be quite changeable meaning we could get some breaks where the sun can creep through.

It also will not be as heavy as the downpours seen yesterday, but you should keep your umbrella close.

Temperatures will remain between 15-17°C for the rest of the week, but it could feel as low as 11°C due to changing south and south-westerly winds.

Following from what is looking like a damp weekend, Monday is due to be largely dry but overcast before the rain returns on Tuesday.
