Met Office forecast: How long will dry weather last after Storm Sebastien?

Bristol has seen plenty of rain in recent days with the impact of Storm Sebastien - but a much drier period is set to follow.

Most of tomorrow (Thursday, November 28) is expected to be rain-free in the city, with clouds and even some sunny spells, though heavy rain is likely from around 6pm, the Met Office says.

The forecaster predicts a dry and sunny day on Friday, before a cloudy Saturday with, again, a low chance of rain. Rain is not expected on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday.

But we won't be without our brollies for long, with the Met Office predicting: "Moving into December, the unsettled conditions across the north look likely to spread southwards bringing spells of rain or showers with some brighter interludes to most parts of the UK."

In its UK forecast for December 12 to 26, it adds: "This period looks likely to bring outbreaks of rain interspersed with brighter spells and showers to most parts.

"Temperatures seem likely to remain around or rather below average for the time of year, especially in the north and northwest with a risk of snow across the Scottish mountains."
