Met Office forecast for Leeds as the city is set for a cloudy and cool day

Leeds will be cool and cloudy today, a welcome change from the cold and blustery start to the week.

The region of Yorkshire will have some more settled conditions today, with temperatures averaging around 7°C and some places seeing just a few heavy showers.

Luckily, Leeds will avoid any heavy rain today and will instead have a few light showers - with even the occasional sunny spell making an appearance.

It will be a mostly cloudy day, with sunny intervals from 9am until 1pm and then a dry and cloudy afternoon.

Temperatures during the day will hit highs of 7°C, with a 'feels like' temperature of a cool 3°C, and these will drop considerably overnight to 2°C - but with a 'feels like' temperature of -2°C.

It will be a clear night though and this will make way for a bright and clear morning on Thursday, with sunshine sticking around until around midday.
