Snow is predicted to fall across the UK as an Arctic blast causing sub-zero conditions continues to sweep across the country.
Forecasters said snow and ice will hit Merseyside and a yellow weather warning will be in place between Thursday at 8pm and Friday at 11am.
However, some wintry showers could be seen earlier.

While some parts of the country can expect a blanket of snow, forecasters say Liverpool is more likely to experience sleet, as well as some hill snow.
The BBC predicts sleet will begin to fall at around 10am on Thursday.
More wintry showers are forecast for Friday morning, from 6am.
Aside from these spells, the weather is predicted to be very cold and very wet, with temperatures hitting an expected low of 1C - that actually feels more like -3C.
