Met Office forecast: Bristol weather to be hotter than Madrid this weekend

The Met Office says Bristol will be hotter than Madrid this weekend with temperatures set to peak at 24C.

According to the weather agency, Bristol will be dry with warm spells of sunshine on Saturday (September 21) before it becomes cloudier later in the day.

The mercury is expected to reach 24C at around 3pm, higher than the 22C forecast for Spain's capital.

Tomorrow's forecast for the South West says: "Dry, for the most part, with warm spells of sunshine, especially across eastern counties.

"Becoming cloudier from the west with the chance for the odd shower.

"A breezy day. Maximum temperature 24C."

This promising forecast will come as good news for those attending the two-day Tokyo World festival at Eastville Park this weekend.

However, the Met Office is also warning that (September 22) with showers forecast in the middle of the day.
