Met Office forecast: Bristol to see four days of rain as humid hot weather ends

After basking in balmy weather Bristol is facing more unsettled weather with a wet and windy blast banishing the holiday heat.

Warm sunshine enjoyed by most during the Easter period has given way to torrential downpours and thunderstorms.

The fine weather will break down from today with plenty of thundery showers arriving from the continent.

The worst of the rain will hit on Saturday (weather channel)

A spokesperson for The Weather Channel said: “It is expected to become unsettled with low pressure cells bringing frequent and often widespread showers or longer spells of rain.

“Some of these will be heavier at times with the risk of thunder.

"It will also become cooler with temperatures lowering to around normal for the time of the year.”
