The Met Office has extended its yellow weather warning, with Liverpool now set to be hit by two days of storms.
The weather organisation issued two warnings for thunderstorms with heavy rain and flooding possible over the next few days.
At 4am on Friday the first warning comes into force, lasting until midnight on Friday night.

The warning said: "Slow-moving, heavy downpours, some thundery, may cause flooding and travel disruption.
"There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater.
"Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
"Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services."
The second warning starts at 4am on Saturday and lasts until Midnight that evening, meaning Merseyside almost has a 48 hour storm warning.
Saturday's warning said: "Heavy, slow-moving showers, some thundery, may cause travel disruption and flooding in a few places.
"Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.
"Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
"There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds."
The forecast for the entire North West said: "On Friday, a moderate westerly breeze will bring cloud and scattered showers for many. These can be heavy and thundery in places. It will become drier for most later in the evening.
"Saturday will be breezy with frequent and heavy showers for many throughout the day. Sunday will continue to be breezy and after a relatively dry start, it will then turn unsettled with heavy showers and thunderstorms.
"Monday will have further heavy and thundery showers, but with a few sunny spells as well."
