Met Office Bristol weather forecast for Christmas Day

Christmas Day is just around the corner - and while many of us have had our plans changed by the government's U-turn on its Christmas plans, we are still allowed to meet with two other households on December 25 (so long as they're not in Tier 4).

However, with concern growing about the new coronavirus variant, people have been urged to be as cautious as possible when planning for the day.

Some people will therefore feel more comfortable meeting their relatives outside - and that is where the weather plays a big part.

The Met Office has now released its forecast for Christmas Day - and it's looking good so far.

The forecast is looking clear for most of the day, changing to partly cloudy by the evening.

We should even get some sunshine, with the forecast sunny at 9am.

Make sure to wrap up warm - highs of 6C and lows of 2C are expected - with temperatures peaking at 6C at 3pm with sunny intervals.

The morning will be particularly chilly, it will feel like -1C at 9am.

And if you're wondering about Boxing Day, no rain is forecast for then either.

It isn't forecast to be quite as nice, with cloudy skies set for the whole day, but at least we shouldn't be getting wet.
