Met Office bank holiday Monday weather forecast for where you live in Wales

The bank holiday weekend started off wet and windy but things have started to take a turn and most of Wales is expecting sunshine on Monday.

Though lockdown measures remain in place, most people across Wales will be able to enjoy the sunshine in their back gardens or while doing their exercise outdoors.

According to the Met Office, Sunday's sunny start will turn a little colder, making way for some settled cloud and fog overnight.

However, the good news is, most of Wales will wake up to bright sunny skies, with no rain forecast across the country.

This is what the weather will be like on bank holiday Monday where you are:

South Wales

The weather forecast for Monday at 10am (The Met Office)

It will be a sunny start to the day in south Wales with barely any clouds in the sky.

By 1pm, temperatures will be as high as 19°C in Aberdare, but it will feel more like 17°C.

The mercury  in Cardiff is expected to reach 18°C, however Swansea ad Llanelli will be a little colder, with temperatures there are expected to be around 16°C.

As the evening draws in, it will remain warm, and Cardiff is expected to maintain the 18°C heat at 7pm.

Little cloud will be present through the whole day and into the night and the warmer temperatures are expected to continue into Tuesday.

West Wales

This is what the temperature is expected to be in west Wales at 1pm on Monday (The Met Office)

People in west Wales will wake up to a little more cloud coverage than their friends further east, but this is expected to mostly clear by 10am.

Some overcast conditions will remain near the coastal areas, but further inland it is set to be clear and sunny.

The temperature at 10am in Tenby is predicted to be 12°C, rising to 13°C by 1pm, and warming up to 14°C by 4pm.

Llandeilo will see the warmest temperatures, reaching 18°C by 1pm, but most other places will sit between 13°C and 17°C.

There will be very little cloud throughout the day, with any overcast lingering over the far west coastal areas. This will clear up by the evening, and by 7pm most of the sky is predicted to be free of clouds.

Mid Wales

Like most of the country, mid Wales will see a dry and mostly sunny day, with coastal areas like Aberystwyth free of any cloud.

By 10am, very little cloud coverage is predicted, with the most overcast conditions coming around 4pm.

Temperatures will reach 19°C in Builth Wells by 1pm, and 20°C in Welshpool and Newtown, however this will feel more like 17°C. This heat is expected to remain steady for most of the day, but will drop down to 17°C by 7pm.

Skies are expected to remain clear into the evening and later on into the night, with only some overcast expected in Welshpool and surrounding areas.

North Wales

Like other coastal areas in Wales, it is predicted to be slightly overcast early in the morning over the Llyn Peninsula, but this will likely clear up by 10am.

Holyhead and Amlwch on Anglesey will also wake up to overcast conditions, lasting longer into the day but likely to clear by 1pm.

Temperatures in north Wales will be slightly cooler compared to the south and mid Wales, but in line with other coastal areas. Places like Porthmadog and Pwllheli will be around 14°C at 1pm.

Other locations will be a little warmer, with St Asaph expected to reach 18°C by 1pm, and the mercury in Wrexham should reach 19°C.

These temperatures will feel like more between 16°C and 17°C, though.

There will be a little bit of cloud over Llandudno around 4pm, but this will clear by 7pm, and the whole area should remain into the night as temperatures drop to around 10°C to 12°C.
