Lady Gaga is en route to the 2019 Met Gala, showing off the "camp" outfit she wore on her journey.
On Friday, the A Star Is Born actor shared a photograph on Instagram, in which she's wearing a lemon-patterned dress and a green, checkered shirt tied around her waist.
"Met Gala here we come. Destination 'Camp', so excited to co-chair Anna's event," the singer wrote in the caption to accompany the picture.
The theme for this year's Met Gala, which is due to take place on Monday 6 May at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City, is "Camp: Notes on Fashion".
Gaga seemed to have taken the theme to heart, adding in the caption: "And I didn't shave my legs for four days which really completes the look."
The theme for this year's Met Gala took inspiration from Susan Sontag's 1964 essay "Notes on 'Camp'", which is widely credited for introducing the concept of "camp" into the mainstream.
‘The essence of Camp is its love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration,’ Sontag once explained in Partisan Review.
The ensemble Gaga wore for her Instagram picture comes from Marc Jacobs' Resort 2019 collection.
This has led some to the conclusion that the multi Grammy Award-winner may opt to wear an outfit created by the American fashion designer for the Met Gala.
"Can't wait to see your LEWK for Monday," Jacobs commented on Instagram underneath Gaga's picture.
In 2015, Gaga wore a custom Balenciaga jumpsuit and an Alexander Wang coat for the Met Gala.
The "Born This Way" singer completed her look with a sequinned headpiece, for the theme: "China: Through The Looking Glass".
A year later, Gaga went for an 1980s-inspired look at the Met Gala, wearing an embellished Versace bodysuit and blazer for the theme: "Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology".
The star mastered the red carpet wearing striking 10-inch heels.
Gaga is one of several co-chairs at this year's event, alongside Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, singer Harry Styles, tennis player Serena Williams and Gucci creative director Alessandro Michelle.
