Met Eireann warns that there could be rain and thunder on the way as Dublin temperatures to rise to 23C

A lot can change within 24 hours, especially the Irish weather.

Dubliners are looking forward to the weekend, with temperatures expected to reach 23C by Saturday.

But now Met Eireann are warning that there could be a risk of THUNDER and RAIN as well as sunshine - quite a change from only yesterday.

Not only that, but there's a small risk of thunder in coastal counties.

Met Eireann says: "Saturday will still be warm for most places, with highs of 20 to 25 degrees, but values slightly cooler on parts of the Atlantic Seaboard with fresh southwest winds. Winds lighter elsewhere.

"There will be scattered showers with some sunny spells. However, there is a risk that showers may well be heavy or possibly thundery in some eastern coastal counties."

As for Friday, we're going to have a lovely day with temperatures of around 20C.

On Sunday, there'll be high temperatures once again but another risk of wet weather.
