Met Eireann's weather forecast for the next 30 days with great period and Bank Holiday update

Met Eireann has revealed its weather forecast predicting finer conditions across the country that are set to mimic an early summer for a short time.

Conditions are set to take a turn to welcome back rainfall towards the latter part of the month, however, there are currently no notable hazards on the way, and the Bank Holiday is set to be dry with settled weather.

Monday 19 April - Sunday 25 April

The Irish forecaster expects conditions to be drier than normal with slightly above average temperatures in most parts of the country.

Areas along the east and southeast coasts are expected to see more normal conditions for the time of year - as a result of a predominant on-shore breeze.

All current indications for this period show settled weather, while there is no evidence of significant hazards other than night frost.

Monday 26 April - Sunday 02 May

Temperatures will begin to fall closer to the average expected at this time of year, and even slightly below in certain parts of the country.

However, conditions will be mostly dry, with no notable weather hazards throughout the week.

Frosty conditions at night are not ruled out for this week.

Monday 03 May - Sunday 09 May

Rainy weather is set to make its return this week, with current predictions forecasting above-average rainfall for the time of year.

Wetter conditions are likely to affect the South of the country predominantly, however once again, there is currently no strong hazard signal associated with that.

Generally, conditions look a little more unsettled, however, nothing exceptional.

Monday 10 May - Sunday 16 May

Met Eireann has said there will be very little change to the previous week with the South and Southwest of the country bearing the brunt of the bad weather.

Rainfall totals will be nearer average to slightly above along western fringes and temperatures will be close to the average for the time of year.

There is little in the way of hazard indicators through this period either.
