Met Eireann's stunning county-by-county forecast for weekend as temperatures to hit 27 degrees

Met Eireann pinpoints which parts of the country are set to sizzle as Ireland is hit with Azores High this weekend.

Temperatures will range from 23 to 27 degrees over the weekend as sunny spells are expected nationwide.

Met Eireann has said that the places hit with the hottest temperatures will be in the southern half of the country and mainly inland.

Aoife Kealy, a meteorologist from Met Eireann told the Irish Mirror: “The main thing is that everywhere is going to be really warm over the weekend.

“It is a pretty common picture, I suppose that the warmest temperatures will generally stay over the Southern half of the country but mainly inland.”

However, it will stay cooler along the coast: “Just along the coast, there will be a bit of a sea breeze so it will be a little cooler along coasts.

“But overall most places will reach the mid-20s if not the high 20s.”

Aoife Kealy added: “There is a chance of a little more patchy cloud over north Connacht and Ulster so that just might keep temperatures less warm but even still as I said reaching the mid-20s over the weekend.”

Here’s a look at the forecast for each county as Ireland is set for a stunning weekend.
