Met Eireann’s month-long forecast shows the country is in for a stunning July

The last week of June is set to be good as Ireland will bask in sunshine and temperatures hit 25 degrees.

And while the weather is expected to change at the weekend, the month of July should see dry and warm conditions continue for the most part.

Overall Ireland is looking at temperatures staying in the high teens and low twenties throughout July.

Here’s what Met Eireann’s monthly forecast says is in store for the country in July:

June 27 to July 4

The start of July will be warm, hot and dry. July 1 will even hit 25 degrees in parts of the country. Friday is expected to be another scorcher - but sadly wet conditions are expected to arrive later that night - leading to a relatively wet weekend.

July 5 to July 11

A change in the settled conditions is expected in the second week of the month. Rain and breezes for parts in the south, but the rest of the country should stay relatively dry and warm.

July 12 to July 18

Stable conditions set to return this week. Drier than normal and temperatures higher than average too. Cloudy in parts mid-week, but most of the country should see the sun at the weekend as temperatures rise into the twenties.

July 19 to July 25

While it is harder for Met Eireann to predict the weather towards the end of July, indications show that it should be settled and mostly dry country-wide. Temperatures should be about average or even higher than average in the south and east.

While Met Eireann only predicts four weeks at a time, Accuweather shows dry, hot weather for the rest of the month. The last weekend of July could be in for a change however, as temperatures drop below 20 degrees and the east faces the risk of thunderstorms.
