After a relatively mixed weekend, the country is set to see some scorching weather this week with temperatures reaching as high as 24C.
The start of the week will be relatively mild with some cloud expected despite the warm temperatures.
However as the week moves on, the country is set to be basked in glorious sunshine particularly in the south.
And there will be plenty of showers too throughout the week with parts of Leinster and Connacht set to be worst hit.
Forecaster have warned that the good weather may not stick around into next week as well with more unsettled conditions to arrive by next Monday.
More showers are likely to arrive however thankfully temperatures will remain in the high teens to low 20s.
A forecaster said: "Tuesday will be warm and dry with good spells of warm sunshine. Highest temperatures of 21 to 23 degrees for many areas, but between 16 and 20 degrees in coastal regions of the west and north where it will be cloudier, in mostly light northerly breezes.

"Tuesday Night will be dry and mostly clear. A few patches of mist may develop. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees with light northerly breezes.
"Wednesday will be warm and dry with good sunshine. Highest temperatures of 21 to 24 degrees with light northeast breezes. It will be a bit cooler in western and northern parts of Connacht and Ulster with highs of 16 to 20 degrees. Wednesday night will be dry with clear spells and a few mist patches. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.
"Thursday will continue warm and mainly dry with good sunshine through the morning. There'll be a bit more cloud during the afternoon and evening with a chance of a few showers, these most likely in parts of Leinster and Connacht. Highest temperatures of 20 to 24 degrees in light variable breezes.
"Thursday night will be dry and close with temperatures between 12 and 15 degrees and light southeast or variable breezes.
"Friday will start off dry with sunny spells. Some scattered showers will develop by the afternoon. Also, later in the afternoon, rain will develop in the southwest and will gradually spread northeastwards through the evening and night. It will continue warm with highest temperatures of 20 to 24 degrees and light to moderate southeast breezes.
"Current indications suggest that Saturday will be mostly cloudy with rain continuing to move northwards and with showers following from the southwest. It will be cooler with highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees and light to moderate southeast winds, becoming southwesterly later.
"At the moment it looks like Sunday next will bring further showers with temperatures of about 17 to 20 degrees."
