Met Eireann has issued an unusual weather warning for the country as temperatures sky rocket.
It was officially the hottest day of the year on Saturday after weather experts clocked a staggering 29.5C in Galway.
As a result Met Eireann has issued a High Temperature Advisory for the country as the stunning temperatures are set to continue in the coming days.
The advisory is valid from 12pm on Sunday right until Friday of next week at 12pm July 23.
The warning reads: "Continuing very warm until Friday, with day time temperatures into the high twenties and very humid at night with temperatures staying in the mid to high teens."
Forecasters added: "We reached 29.5C today at Athenry, Co. Galway, making it the warmest day of the year so far.
"Temps reached 28C & above at many stations. More high temps forecast for Sunday, keep safe in the sun."
The country has been basked in glorious sunshine with the high temperatures set to continue throughout the weekend.
However there will be some change in the weather as early as Monday with temperatures set to drop.
It is likely that the humidity is set to hit throughout the evenings meaning sleep may not be that easy.
But Ulster will see some clouds as a smattering of rain early on Sunday.
"A forecast said of the outlook for the week ahead: "High pressure bringing predominantly dry, very warm and mostly sunny weather for much of next week. Remaining very warm and humid at night also."
