Met Eireann has issued a weather warning for five counties as parts of the country are set to be lashed by heavy rainfall today.
The status yellow rainfall alert was issued this morning and will take effect from 3pm until with the national forecaster warning some areas could be hit with localised flooding.
The warning is in place for Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford and will expire at 9am on Wednesday morning.
The warning reads: "Heavy rain at times may cause some localised flooding.
"Rainfall totals generally around 30-40mm, higher in mountainous areas."

A Met Eireann forecaster added that rain will spread across the southwest and extend across much of Munster and south of Leinster during the afternoon while outbreaks of sleet and snow can be expected tonight.
They added: "Elsewhere, it'll remain largely dry with sunny spells and isolated showers. A cold day with highest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees in mostly light winds, but a freshening northeast breeze will develop in the south later.
Outbreaks of rain will extend across much of Munster, Connacht and Leinster tonight but Ulster looks set to remain largely dry with just a few showers.
"Heavy rain is expected in the south with a risk of localised flooding there. As the night progresses the rain will turn increasingly to sleet or snow on high ground in Munster.
