Met Eireann has issued a triple weather warning as experts say an 'extratropical storm' is moving in.
There is a wind warning in place for Cork and Kerry for 24-hours from midnight on Thursday to midnight Friday.
A status yellow, wind warning is also in place for Waterford, Wexford from 5am on Thursday until 4pm today.
And on top of that, a status yellow, rainfall warning has been issued for Clare, Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Galway, Mayo for 24-hours too.
These warnings come after Europe Weather warned that an intense North Atlantic storm will bring unsettled weather with severe windstorms and major waves to Ireland on Thursday.
The weather experts said: "It’s been a while since there was a proper North Atlantic storm on its way towards western Europe.
"This week, a quite impressive development of an extratropical low is expected on Wednesday, drifting into Ireland through Thursday.
"It will bring a rather severe windstorm and major waves along the coastal areas to the south."
Here's what Met Eireann are forecasting for the next 48-hours:
Tomorrow: "Thursday will be an unseasonably wet and windy day. Falls of rain will occur, heavy at times with the risk of localised flooding. Cyclonic variable mainly southerly winds will be mostly fresh to strong and gusty. Cool for the time of year with highest temperatures of just 12 to 14 degrees Celsius."
Tonight: "Remaining wet and windy for a time tonight with heavy showers or longer spells of rain. West to northwest winds will be fresh to strong and gusty, decreasing moderate to fresh and gusty overnight. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees Celsius."
Tomorrow: "Friday will be a cool blustery with sunny spells and scattered showers, some heavy with the risk of isolated thunderstorms. Highest temperatures of 12 or 13 degrees Celsius in mostly fresh north to northwest winds."
Friday night: "Scattered blustery showers will become fewer with long clear spells. Cool with lows of 1 to 5 degrees Celsius with moderating northwest breezes."
