Met Eireann Ireland weather forecast sees unpredictable conditions continue

We’re off to a dry and bright start this morning with sunny spells and just isolated showers.

But clouds will gradually build from the west throughout the day, with patchy drizzle developing during the afternoon.

Alan Reilly at Carlow Weather said: "A cool night with frost in the East but a largely dry bright start tomorrow.

"However rain will push in from the West tomorrow evening and move across the country with some heavy bursts."

Highest afternoon temperatures will be between 4 to 6 degrees today along with moderate westerly winds, backing southwesterly ahead of the rain.

A Met Eireann forecaster said: “Tonight, the persistent rain will clear eastwards before morning with just some light patchy rain, drizzle and mist lingering in places. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees.

“Moderate, occasionally fresh, southwesterly winds will veer northwesterly and ease.”

And it will be mostly dry with a mix of cloud and some sunny spells tomorrow. Highest temperatures will range from 6 to 8 degrees in mostly light to moderate west to southwest winds.

And the blustery wind and freezing temperatures is set to continue over the weekend, as the nation is set to experience hail, sleet and isolated thunderstorms within the coming days.
