Met Eireann Ireland weather forecast sees treacherous conditions with rain, hail and snow expected

Met Eireann predicts that there will be treacherous conditions with rain, hail and snow expected.

The entire country received a warning as severe weather conditions coming our way.

A spell of wet and very windy weather is expected to impact Ireland on Tuesday, 7, and Wednesday, December 8.

Travel disruption and coastal flooding is also expected.

There is also the potential for snow on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Here’s what to expect today and tomorrow:

Today

A cold and bright start to the day with any frost clearing early to leave good sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 6 or 7 degrees as winds ease light and variable.

After a cold start to the night, slightly milder conditions will accompany rain as it spreads across the country. Lowest temperatures of 0 to +3 degrees as moderate to fresh southerly winds.

Tomorrow

Monday will be a cold, bright and blustery day with sunny spells and scattered showers, some may turn wintry over higher ground. Highest afternoon temperatures of 5 or 6 degrees as moderate to fresh and blustery westerly winds gradually ease.
