Met Eireann Ireland predicts ‘mixed’ weather forecast with 'frosty' night ahead

Met Eireann Ireland have predicted a “mixed” weather forecast with a “frosty” night ahead.

Today will be mostly cloudy and quite windy in Dublin with a good deal of dry weather and the odd spot of drizzle. There'll be some brighter intervals also.

Highest temperatures of 10 or 11 degrees with mostly fresh southerly winds, but strong at times along the coast.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy and mainly dry. Fresh southerly winds will ease overnight with lowest temperatures of 4 to 6 degrees.

Mist or fog patches may form with a touch of frost possible later tonight too.

Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather said it’s “a windy but not too wet day ahead with patchy drizzle and a lot of cloud.”

He added that the “pesky wind” is making a return this weekend and he predicts that it will be strongest today

Sunday morning will be mostly cloudy with patchy light rain or drizzle developing. The afternoon will be brighter and drier with some sunny intervals. Highest temperatures of 10 or 11 degrees are expected with moderate to fresh south to southeast winds

Sunday night will be wet and windy with rain spreading eastwards across the country, accompanied by fresh to strong southerly winds with lowest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees.
