Met Eireann Ireland forecast mainly dry Wednesday but warn rain is on the way

Met Eireann Ireland has forecast a mainly dry and mild day around the country, but warn that some showers of rain are on the way.

There will be highest temperatures today of 10 to 13 degrees in moderate southwest winds, fresh to strong along Atlantic coasts and in the north.

Their forecast reads: "Today will start mainly dry with a few showers and bright spells during the morning.

"Cloud will increase from the west during the day with patchy light rain or drizzle across parts of Connacht and Ulster through the afternoon and evening."

Tonight

Tonight will also see patches of rain but temperatures will remain relatively mild.

The forecast reads: "It'll be generally cloudy tonight with patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the west and north, and staying mainly dry in the east and south.

"Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees. Moderate to fresh southwest winds will be light to moderate in Munster."

Tomorrow

Tomorrow will be a dry day with temperatures set to increase.

The forecast reads: "Tomorrow, Thursday, will be a cloudy day with a good deal of dry weather apart from light patchy rain and drizzle.

"Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in moderate to fresh southwesterly winds."
