Met Eireann have pinpointed Saturday as when we can expect temperatures to begin to rise again ahead of glorious spell next week.
Met Eireann has good news for most of the country as temperatures rise and skies clear from Saturday and the forecast for next week looks promising.
While the rest of today and tonight will bring some scattered showers across the country, temperatures today will range from 14 degrees in the south to 20 degrees in the north and fall below 10 tonight.
Tomorrow looks to be similar, staying dry with cooler temperatures and southerly breezes.
Saturday
While Saturday may start off with rain and drizzle, the midlands and north Leinster should clear up by afternoon with dry and sunny conditions. Temperatures may even hit 20 degrees.
Saturday night will be dry but cold with lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees.
Sunday
Sunday is looking good too with sunny spells and “feeling pleasant” with highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees. Overnight temperatures will be 7 to 10 degrees with dry conditions.
Bank Holiday Monday
Bank Holiday Monday will bring a dry, sunny morning. It should be warm too with temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees. Driest conditions in the east, scattered showers coming from Atlantic clouds. Overnight, it will become mostly dry with temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees.
Next week
As for next week, Met Eireann is predicting a “good deal of dry weather” with warmer temperatures hitting the high teens and low twenties.
“Generally warm/very warm and settled conditions. Mean temperatures will be higher than normal across the country and most areas will receive well below average rainfall. UV Index could trend towards very high in summer sunshine as maxima climbs day on day.”
